History of EuroSunday:
EuroSunday started in Elk Grove, California, Larry Stiver's hometown. If it flopped, then he could easily drive home with his head hanging low and he could nurse his bruised ego in the solitude of his house. In his efforts at to stir up attendance for the August 2006 kickoff, he emailed an active forum poster named Adam Cook asking for help, suggestions, and support in attendance. Adam very abruptly asked, "Who the hell are you?" (EuroSunday still has that original email!!) After a few conversations, Adam agreed to help with the first EuroSunday by recruiting attendees and giving insight on what to expect on the first go around. 5 days before the event, Adam asked how many spots Larry had reserved. Larry (ever so proud) immediately responded..."No worries, I have 25 that will be saved for us". Adam responded "Ummm dude, you need to have 75 spots saved and should expect about 110 cars!" Larry scrambled to account for that "remote possibility" - c'mon how does this guy think that is going to happen? Kick-off day counted 113 cars! Adam and Larry have proven to be an unlikely but effective team ever since for EuroSunday.
EuroSunday has now grown into a lifestyle and social community for owners of European cars and motorcycles. The activities have evolved from a small gathering of gear heads into a wide range of activities ranging from the casual to the extreme. The no pressure, no competition atmosphere is intentional in an effort to allow everyone to enjoy both cars and bikes in a way never seen before. Many participants have called EuroSunday the “fight club” of car and motorcycle events because of the methods used to update attendees of future events. EuroSunday brings together family, friends, and networking through a common interest: their passion for cars, bikes, friends, family, and the open road.
