Porsche Carrera Light Weight

Stephen's 1973 911 Carrera RS Lightweight
Chassis #9113600342

Delivered January 1973 to Malcolm Patrick in London, it is the first UK specification right-hand drive RS lightweight produced. The factory produced a total of 69 right-hand RSs out of a production of 1580 cars. This is one of the first series production with a weight of 900kgs (2028 lbs) and the 2.7 liter engine producing 210 HP.

It has been a rally car for all its competition life, passing from Patrick to John Tansey in Dublin, then to John Daker in Northamptonshire, who rallied it extensively in the mid and late 70s.

It was retired circa 1980 after a very hard life, and in need of a total rebuild due a severe accident! The recorded mileage of 32,000 is believed to be correct.

The car was rebuilt and went back on the road in July 1999.

The car specifications are as it left the factory with the only option a limited slip
