eNews Week of April 28th ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Event Reminders:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EuroSunday Sacramento Area Recap: EuroSunday’s Sacramento gathering was a record breaker this April, with approximately one hundred cars in attendance. We had one of the broadest collections of cars and bikes Sacramento has seen to date. In terms of motorbikes, everything from BMW to Ducati’s new desmodici arrived on scene. The event was also blessed with the new BMW M3 decked out with one of the first coilover kits from Ground Control. In addition, Sacramento enjoyed the presence of a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Porsche GT3RS, a Porsche 997 Turbo, a Corvette Stingray, Bentley Arnage and an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, to name a few. Some new additions to EuroSunday this month were a Morgan Club Car, a 2008 Subaru WRX STI, a number of Cobras, and a Dodge Viper GTS whose owner drove all the way from Jackson, CA. Announcements were given by Sacramento’s new spokes woman Amar, who has graciously agreed to volunteer at Sacramento’s monthly gatherings. A highlight of the event was Abram from Autobahn Detail who showed off his pristine BMW E36 M3. Also, the Sacramento Acura NSX club arrived with a number of cars that could not be ignored. A fan favorite at this month’s event was “Poppy Row”. An array of spectacular yellow vehicles lined up together in the main parking lot, giving rise to the phrase “Poppy Row.” “Poppy Row” was comprised of a race spec Acura NSX, Porsche Carrera RS, Ferrari F30, Porsche 914, Lamborghini Gallardo and a convertible Porsche Carrera. Sunglasses were a necessity to observe this stunning display. Keep on the look out for EuroSunday’s exciting new changes and events in Reno, San Diego and Seattle, WA will be commencing in July and August respectively. VIEW MORE IMAGES FROM THE EVENT HERE A modified E60 BMW M5, an E39 M5, a plethora of M3’s [no less than 9 of them all modified in one way or another], a white Z4 M Roadster and an M3 CSL conversion were just a few of the bimmers that showed up. It was almost as if this were a bimmer meet-up. Luckily, a pair of classic 70’s mint condition Triumphs, a few late model Audi’s, a Jaguar S-type R, a silver W210 Mercedes-Benz AMG E55, a white Porsche GT3, a Porsche Carrera convertible, and a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera sprinkled the field of Euro’s. What a sweet turnout! I immediately greeted the drivers and took out my camera to capture the moment. After a few hours of conversation and photography, low and behold the modified bimmer with the carbon fiber trunk showed up. The owner was pleasantly surprised that he stopped for gas that morning and pledged he’d be a regular at future EuroSunday’s. The plan was to drive south to Speed Demons while along the way we would stop and meet-up with some Mini’s. Being that only a few had planned to go carting, the opportunity to hit the pit lanes at Homestead Miami Speedway seemed like a bit more fun. There was a Porsche/Mini event being held at the track which provided for some awesome photography. Look for some planned track events for EuroSunday in the near future. I, personally, can’t wait…
