Article in Capitol Star August 2006 The inaugural EuroSunday begins @ 9:00am Sunday 8/27. My understanding is that we have some groups shooting for 8:00 am at the parking lot of It's A Grind Coffee House (Corner of Elk Grove Blvd. and Waterman Rd. - 9385 Elk Grove Blvd. Elk Grove, CA 95624) to get spots together. We will have the whole back end of the parking lot and can easily hold 50+ cars… cost is $0 for this event. Coffee, Bagels, and Pastries are very good and available for purchase. As time inches on in the day…El Jardin Restaurant and Cold Stone Creamery are just next door. I have heard whispers of a drive being planned into Amador for some wine tasting beginning towards the mid-day (water and munchies for the drive can be purchased at Bel-Air in the same parking lot). If you have suggestions for a cruise route, then please get them to me for an early announcement. This event is open to old and new cars…the only requirement being that you must love and appreciate cars! The location of this event will change after the inaugural. Front runners for the new location are; Plantation Coffee in Elk Grove, and the Pavillions in Sacramento…please give us your two cents for the permanent location. EuroSunday will be an ongoing event, taking place on the 4th Sunday of each month. We have had some outstanding response thanks to Club announcements, forums, and the Sacramento Bee. Let's have some GREAT fun, and high turnout for this ongoing Greater Sacramento area event. |
